General & Specialised Physiotherapy Services
Our highly trained Physiotherapists are here to help you by providing treatment for physical problems caused by injury, illness, disease, chronic conditions or ageing. By supporting you with a range of Physiotherapy support, we can ensure you receive the care you need no matter your life stage. Our Physiotherapy is:
Hands On
We use up-to-date techniques including massage, joint mobilisation, electrotherapy, exercise advice and prescription.
Educational
We believe the more you understand your condition and your options, the better you can reach and exceed your goals.
Exercise-Focused
We bridge the gap between treatment and exercise. We use exercise within your treatment plan and also offer ongoing exercise classes.
Empowering
We believe in supporting you regardless of what stage you are at in your life, but also in empowering you to do more now and into the future so you can live a better life.

What should I expect from a Physiotherapy consultation?
A consultation with your Physiotherapist will include a thorough assessment of you to identify and diagnose the underlying cause of your injury. We will then provide you with the treatment and management solutions you need to achieve your goals as quickly as possible.
What’s the difference between a Physiotherapist and a Specialist Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist?
A general Physiotherapist practitioner will hold a Bachelor, Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physiotherapy.
A Specialist Women’s Men’s and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist has achieved advanced specialised training and successfully completed clinical and oral examinations to be admitted as a fellow to the Australia College of Physiotherapists.
Both our directors, Libby Oldfield and Gen McGlashan, have achieved fellowship of the Australian College of Physiotherapists (FACP) – both in 2010 – and are therefore recognised as Specialist Physiotherapists.
There are only 9 Specialist Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health Physiotherapists in Australia.
A Clinical Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health Specialist Physiotherapist is skilled at assessing difficult and complex Physiotherapy problems, particularly those that have not responded to previous treatment. Our Specialist Women’s Men’s and Pelvic Health Physiotherapists, Gen McGlashan and Libby Oldfield, work with other physiotherapy practitioners both at Fitwise and other practices to help you get the optimal results from your management and treatment.
