The Birthing Kit Foundation
You can help save mothers and babies
Around 300,000 women and 2.5 million newborns die each year from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. Most of these deaths occur in developing countries. To help address this, Birthing Kit Foundation Australia provide an opportunity for Australian volunteers to fundraise for and engage in the assembly of Birthing Kits. These birthing kits provide essential tools that assist with safer childbirth - they include the following items; gloves, gauze, plastic sheet, cord ties, soap and a sterile blade.
Each year, our Physiotherapist Kath hosts a 'packing event' at our East Melbourne practice where staff, clients, family and friends assemble birthing kits that will be donated. We are currently fundraising for our packing event on Thursday the 7th of November 2019.
To donate, you can do so via direct debit transfer (details below) or you could make a cash donation at our East Melbourne or Armadale practices.

If you would be interested in attending our packing evening and lending a hand, we would love to see you. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know that you would like to attend.
Any contribution will make a huge difference to women and babies who aren't as fortunate as we are in Australia.
